Kobe Bryant’s widow, Vanessa has broken her silence on the tragedy that has hit her family for the first time and her words are as heartbreaking as you would imagine. As you know, the basketball legend and their second born daughter, 13 year old Gianna have passed away in a terrible helicopter crash.
Obviously, nothing she could ever say can convey the pain she is feeling but Vanessa Bryant still bravely took to social media days after the tragedy and addressed it, promising to continue on with the belief that her husband and daughter are watching over her and the other three daughters.
The Instagram post was shared earlier today and it included a complete family picture.
Alongside it, Vanessa wrote: ‘My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who have shown us support and love during this horrific time. We’re completely devastated by the loss of my adoring husband, Kobe and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, wonderful daughter, and an amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.’
She went on to also mention the grief they feel for the other seven people killed in the crash and their pained families.
‘I take comfort in knowing Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I am not sure what our lives hold after today, and it is impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up every day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, are shining on us to light the way,’ Vanessa also wrote in part.
It’s a heartbreaking message that no one should ever have to write but the mourning wife and mother managed to do so with so much grace and strength all the while expressing just how much she wishes she could still have Kobe and Gianna with her, to hug and kiss them.
